The story of beginning …

One evening the very renewed writer Lt. Sh. Khushwant Singh casually brought up the subject of the joy of giving, and quoted the Sikh adage Kirat Karo (Strive) Vand Chhako ( Share what you have) Naam Japo (Repeat the name of the Lord) with Lt. Mr. Nanak Singh Kohli. Mr. Kohli got his message, and a few days later told him that he intended to set up a charitable trust in the name of his parents to give scholarship to Indian toppers for further studies in American universities. Mr. Singh put a damper on the proposal by saying : They will never come back. India will get nothing. Start at the bottom and provide schooling for the children of the poor living in slums.
